Signage we have installed in Al Khobar

Three of the buildings we have signed are in Al Khobar, and all three are hotels. Hotel Sumou carries gold illuminated lettering and a floral mark across its canopy fascia, sized to be read from the street below. Kempinski Al Othman is facade identity on a high-rise elevation, the horse mark picked out above an illuminated sign box and read from the approach road. The Golden Tower on the corniche is a full building identity rather than a single sign: a vertical corner sign running the height of the elevation, roofline lettering, and an entrance canopy. Every one of them was fabricated in our workshop in Dammam and installed by our own crew.

The work we are called for here is high and it is on hotels, which makes it a different job from a shopfront. A canopy fascia and a roofline are both read from far below, so the letter height follows the viewing angle rather than the width of the elevation. Hotels also tend to want their identity in more than one place on the same building — a corner sign, a roofline, an entrance — and those have to agree with each other at three different distances. Corniche frontages add salt air to the material choice, which pushes toward stainless and a properly sealed sign box.

Al Khobar is a short drive from the workshop — roughly 20 km — so a survey and a return visit on the same day are normal, and the sign arrives finished rather than being assembled on site. High-level work goes up by crane with our own crew.
